Most songs start with spending WAY too long on loc.gov (and other free archives) searching for orations, diary entries, newspaper articles, 1800's poetry, and other public-domain texts until something speaks. Try it sometime!

It kinda feels like collaborating with dead people. 😘

Thinkwave is an emerging term for lyric-first, idea-driven music — for people who want more from lyrics than “you up?” repeated 14 times. 🙄

Songs rooted in real research, history, philosophy, literature, religion, and cultural storytelling may all be considered Thinkwave, regardless of musical style.

Because, apparently, that was the assignment from God. 😉

Yep! One of our artists has def. taught university-level history, another is a funeral director, and the rest of us are history-obsessed enough that the difference gets blurry. 😅

Honestly?
